Service Description

This appointment is for a jewelry change/install. If your piercing has shrunk due to not wearing jewelry or wearing a smaller gauge, please use "Stretch/Taper" link instead. If your piercing is closed, you will need to book a new piercing. This fee covers a maximum of two piercing changes (as in two holes). More than two will need to book multiple appointments. Please be advised that we do not install hoops (rings) into piercings that are not fully healed. For nostrils, this is 6-8 months minimum (or longer if the piercing is not sufficiently healed at that time). For most cartilage piercings on the ear, this is 8-12 months minimum. If you are unsure of how long you should wait to change the jewelry in your specific piercing, please use the Contact Us link to inquire prior to booking. Your piercer will not install a hoop into an unhealed piercing against their professional judgement—this is for your safety. Please note that we only install jewelry that fits the following criteria: was purchased at our studio in the last 3 years; was purchased at another APP-member studio and meets APP requirements; was purchased elsewhere but can be verified to be from a quality APP-approved manufacturer. We do NOT install the following: jewelry from Claires, Spencers, Wal-Mart, or other mall-type stores; jewelry from Etsy, Metal Mafia, or other manufacturers that are not APP-compliant; jewelry that has been worn by someone other than yourself; jewelry that is damaged (i.e. scratched/warped); jewelry that is visibly dirty; jewelry that is externally threaded. If you are bringing existing jewelry with you for this service, please bring jewelry in a disposable baggie and give it to our counter staff upon arrival so that it can be sanitized prior to insertion. ID is required for anyone receiving a piercing service. Please review our FAQ page for details on acceptable forms of ID, as well as age requirements for piercing services. The Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy are legally binding upon booking. These are posted on the "Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy" page and at the bottom of the "Make An Appointment" page of the website, as well as in-studio.

Cancellation Policy

Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy: Booking your appointment requires a non-refundable deposit. The deposit is your full service fee. Jewelry cost is in addition to service fee and is chosen and paid for in-studio at the time of your appointment; jewelry purchase is required for piercings and installs unless we are re-installing jewelry previously purchased from Sadu (please see terms for qualifying jewelry on our website). If you are unsure about the total fee or jewelry minimum for the service you'd like to book, please inquire prior to booking online. All jewelry purchases are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. If you are unsure about the age requirement for the piercing you would like, please check out our FAQ or send us a message to inquire BEFORE booking. Deposit refunds will NOT be given for failure to meet the age requirement of the piercing you request—you will have the option of choosing another age-appropriate piercing at that time, rescheduling for a $10 rebooking fee, or receiving a partial refund minus the $10 cancellation fee. Please note that ID is required, even for minors! Please see the FAQ section of our website for minor & adult ID requirements. Failure to bring proper ID will result in your appointment being rescheduled for a $10 rebooking fee or a loss of deposit minus the cancellation fee. ​ We strongly suggest booking a consultation prior to anatomy-dependent piercings (please note that some piercings REQUIRE a consultation). If you choose to not book a consultation prior to your piercing and are found to be ineligible for the piercing you choose (due to anatomy, scarring, etc), you have the following options: choose another piercing at that time, rebook for a future date for a $10 rebooking fee, or receive a deposit refund minus a $10 cancellation fee. Genital piercings REQUIRE a consultation prior to booking a piercing appointment; please see all guidelines & appointment terms pertaining to genital piercings on our website. Failure to book your genital piercing appointment with the correct staff member will result in a $10 rebooking fee for a rescheduled appointment with the appropriate piercer. Same-day piercing appointments following consultations are subject to availability and are not implied or guaranteed. To reschedule an existing appointment, visit the Contact Us page of our website. Deposits may be transferred one time to another date for no charge if requested with a minimum 24-hours notice. Rescheduling with less than 24-hours notice requires a $10 rebooking fee for piercing services. Rescheduling a non-piercing service with less than 24 hours notice results in loss of initial deposit; you will need to book a new appointment and pay the associated deposit. Full deposits are non-refundable; no exceptions. Deposits are forfeited in their entirety if you don't show up for your appointment. Clients who are more than 10-minutes late to their piercing appointment will be offered the one-time courtesy of rescheduling and having their deposit moved to a different date for a $10 rebooking fee. Due to time constraints, clients who are 10 minutes late to any other appointment type will forfeit their deposit and need to reschedule with another deposit. By booking your appointment, you agree that you have read and will follow our “Studio Policies” listed on our website. Failure to adhere to these policies will result in your appointment being rescheduled with the aforementioned rebooking fee or cancelled. While we strive to keep things flowing smoothly and see each client promptly, due to the nature of our services, delays can happen--but we will always strive to keep your wait to a minimum.
